From field to road. Next up – drive further than 20 miles.
Let’s make that about 200 miles then. So, we were off to Derbyshire – chosen for the motorhome upholsterer who promised of hundreds of rolls of fabric to choose from, critically plenty without stripes or flowers.
We returned, newly refurbished, with more lessons under the proverbial belt:
Potholes should be avoided at all costs.
Above 65mph Horatio tends to wander and wallow.
The fuel gauge gives constantly changing spurious indications below a quarter of a tank
Either there is a fault with the engine temperature sensor or indicator itself is faulty as the engine appears to overheat intermittently – causing us to overheat somewhat too. Don’t panic!
There is a Harley Davidson dealer on the outskirts of Cheltenham.
There is a very nice CL (baby campsite) on a farm on the outskirts of Cheltenham.
We need definitely need a scooter for the garage, as parking a large motorhome at the local hostelry can be a challenge……
