A new phase
We finally sorted it out and drove all the way to Maidstone (twice) to view and then purchase a trailer suitable for The Beast. Now The Beast is all bronzed and beautiful, its time to show him off. Turning up after a long haul on grubby roads is not conducive to his looking his best, so a trailer became the next essential item. Our new “unit” length is now 11 metres…. bit scary.
Good news is the trailer perfectly follows Horatio, no cutting off the corner or anything like that, and while unloaded appears to have minimal effect on fuel consumption. With the bike in there I suspect it may have some effect…
So, do we give this a name too? How about the Beast Box!
A couple of minor modifications are required – of course, nothing can be too straightforward after all. Then we will do a couple of short trips before another excursion to the south of France where we will abandon Horatio for a week (sorry mate) while we ride The Beast, following our friends on their Ducati, around Corsica. Can’t wait!
